XCOM Legends

XCOM Legends was a free-to-play turn-based role-playing game for Android and iOS, developed by Iridium Starfish and published by 2K Games. It was soft-launched in July 2021 for Android and March 2022 for iOS. The game was removed from stores in March 2024 and ended service on May 7, 2024.

XCOM Legends is set two years after the events of XCOM 2. The Resistance has defeated ADVENT and XCOM must now reclaim Earth from the chaos left in the wake of the War for Liberation.The main boss of XCOM Legends is a being called the Creator, which is using pieces of Elder tech called Archways, teleportation devices powered by exotic psionic energy unlike any seen before, to capture XCOM troops as test subjects and create and control Shadow Clones, diminished fragments of individuals resonating with Archway energy.

Crusader Kings III

Crusader Kings III is a grand strategy role-playing video game set in the Middle Ages, developed by Paradox Development Studio and published by Paradox Interactive as a sequel to Crusader Kings (2004) and Crusader Kings II (2012). The game was released on PC on 1 September 2020 and on the Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5 on 29 March 2022 in most regions. The game received universal acclaim, and has sold over 3 million copies as of September 2023.

Set in the Middle Ages, the game was released on February 14, 2012, as a sequel to 2004’s Crusader Kings. On October 18, 2019, the video game became free to play. A sequel, Crusader Kings III, was released on September 1, 2020. Crusader Kings II attracted a wider audience than Paradox’s previous games, contributing to the growth of the company.

Metaphor: ReFantazio

Metaphor: ReFantazio is a 2024 role-playing video game developed by Studio Zero and published by Atlus in Japan and Sega worldwide. Metaphor: ReFantazio was first announced under the codename Project Re:Fantasy in December 2016, with no further information revealed until 2023, and was released for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows, and Xbox Series X/S on October 11, 2024.

Balatro

Balatro is a 2024 poker-themed roguelike deck-building game developed by LocalThunk and published by Playstack. It was released on Microsoft Windows, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S on February 20, 2024, with a port to macOS on March 1. Ports for Android and iOS were released on September 26, 2024. In the game, players play poker hands to score points and defeat “blinds”.

Elden Ring

Elden Ring is a 2022 action role-playing game developed by FromSoftware. It was directed by Hidetaka Miyazaki with worldbuilding provided by American fantasy writer George R. R. Martin. It was published for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S on February 25 in Japan by FromSoftware and internationally by Bandai Namco Entertainment.
